President Obama was not just making a noise over whether we should stay in the EU or not but quite literately over Marylebone & St Johns Wood with his helicopters, aided with the Met ones as well over the past weekend.
If you want hear for yourself what is was like over Sunday lunchtime in Marylebone, when the President Obama had already left, please listen below;
It has been like this on and off since President Obama’s arrival on thursday night!
I for one will be looking forward to the US embassy moving South of the river but l am not sure if the US ambassador will move his residential home to the new site in Nine Elms as well.
If future Presidents of the US continue to stay in Regents Park, l just ask for some consideration of the noise caused by their helicopters over the park and thus neighbourhoods like St John’s Wood, Marylebone & Primrose Hill!
Dear Murad, Re.: Life after London Assembly. I read on 14 May that you are no longer an Assembly Member. In the ‘West End Extra’, this is because Labour gained a geographical-constituency-based Member. I wish to express thanks for all you have done, particularly in Kensington South. If Sadiq Khan pledged to ‘review the Earls Court planning Masterplan’, I would have thought that your experience places you as the ideal ‘Earls Court supremo’? I’m sure that you would have universal support. Your witness contributions to the ‘TfL Bill opposed Bill Cttee’ in Jan 2015 were crucial to its being dropped. Sadiq Khan has emphasised that there has been an affordable housing ‘viability con’; Nicky Gavron asked Boris Johnson: ‘Why have you let Capco off the hook?’ Air pollution and transport are two major concerns, about which you are the expert. You have extensive knowledge about environmental issues, and provision of infrastructure eg crown post offices, local hospitals, and fire stations.
Thanks Richard. Lets keep in touch…as l”ll be back
